A major manufacturer of ethnic foods came to us with a problem. The product is a thin pastry like fragile product. His current steel wire belt left an undesirable mark on the product and caused uneven drying. The other issues were his product had high moisture content and needed a belt with consistent airflow for even drying especially at the splice. We proposed a Kevlar® mesh belt, which is resistant to moisture and provides an even distribution of heat as well as low profile enough not to mark the product. We also designed a splice where the air can flow through and provide even drying.
