GBI worked with a major manufacturer of composite panels used for airline flooring. Traditionally the industry uses a 100-3 Mechanical weight PTFE fabric as a release sheet on each side of the panel to provide a release from the call plate when panel is being cured in a heated press. The 100-3 Mechanical in this application is a one time disposable product. Working with the customer, we certified a 100-10 Premium weight product, which allowed the release sheet to be used many times over as well as on the reversed side. In the long run money was saved and a more mirror like surface on the panel was the result.
